gamescom 2024: Record-Breaking Exhibitor Count, International Scope, and Worldwide Reach

gamescom 2024 surpasses previous marks by reaching a record number of attendees. This week, the greatest gaming community in the globe gathered in Cologne to celebrate their love of live and virtual gaming. gamescom 2024 attracted over 335,000 guests from almost 120 countries; Friday and Saturday were entirely sold out. With more than 310 million video views by Saturday night alone, the show’s online viewership hit a record high. Impressive numbers for gamescom Opening Night Live include over 40 million video views, which is double the amount from the previous year. The figures for this year greatly surpassed the previous record, establishing a new worldwide standard.

There were about 32,000 trade visitors, with the biggest increases coming from North America and Japan.

The gamescom epix community experience featuring the new digital gamescom trade cards was another highlight for the community. By Saturday night, 2.5 million page views had been recorded.

This year saw new all-time highs for the devcom developer conference and the gamescom congress.

On Saturday and Sunday, a crowd of about 80,000 people flocked to Cologne’s downtown for an incredible gamescom city festival.

August 20–24 is when gamescom 2025 will take place. Opening Night Live of gamescom will take place on August 19, 2025, to commence the festival.
