With Olden Era, the Heroes of Might and Magic brand enters a new era. Players can now build majestic castles, raise large armies, and engage in epic, highly tactical battles against mythological creatures and heroes in a dynamic, living fantasy world full of wonders and perils. Play in multiplayer modes that give a variety of gaming options, from rapid Arena matches to the strategic depth of a single-hero mode or classic Skirmish. Alternatively, play alone with a new campaign, single maps, and endless randomly created scenarios. During early access, one of the primary features will be the ability for players to customize Heroes of Might & Magic single maps and multiplayer templates using creative tools.
Additionally, the Faction Laws, a new faction-based perk system, and entirely new combat systems, such as active abilities for heroes and animals, provide diversity and individuality to playstyles. Six factions await players, featuring both new and returning favorites as well as unique playstyles, rosters of creatures, and heroes. These factions are as follows: Temple (classic Knights), Necropolis (Vampires and the Undead), Sylvan (The Forces of Nature and Fey Folks), Dungeon (Dark Elves and Underground Creatures), Hive (Insectoids corrupted by Demons), and another faction that will be revealed later.
The decision to release the game via Early Access on Steam was made by the developer, Unfrozen, and publisher, Ubisoft, in an effort to engage with the community and improve the game based on player feedback. Because of Unfrozen’s experience with Early Access games, players can expect a well-supported and dynamic development experience. Players can anticipate a whole new faction, new game types, new features, and frequent updates during Early Access.
Olden Era, which returns to the world of Enroth, reimagines the familiar aspects of the iconic Heroes series for a new audience while also presenting brand-new adventures in a place that fans have long cherished.
