Gen. G LoL Strengthens Squad for the Upcoming 2018 LoL Champions Korea Summer Season and the 2018 LoL World Championship
LOS ANGELES – Gen.G eSports, a global e-sports company, has recruited Moon “MONG” Chang-min as a top laner and Song “Fly” Yong-jun as a mid laner for its Gen.G League of Legends (LoL) team. These new additions set to strengthen the already stacked roster ahead of the upcoming 2018 LoL Champions Korea summer season and the 2018 LoL World Championship.
Moon “MONG” Chang-min previously led BPZ to third place in the 2017 Challenge Korea Spring tournament. Gen.G believes MONG has the potential for unlimited growth, so he will lead the upcoming season alongside top laner ‘CuVee’ Lee Sung-jin.
Song “Fly” Yong-jun was a player in KT Rolster who led the runners-up in the 2016 LCK summer season. From his debut season, Fly has attracted attention due to his exquisite appearance and personality. With experience playing in both China and North America, Fly demonstrates a unique and complementary style of play to the existing mid laner Lee “Crown” Min-ho.
“I am pleased to welcome these talented players to the Gen.G roster. We have been in close discussions with our experienced coaches to recruit two players,” said Gen.G’s General Manager Lee Ji-hoon. “We wanted players with long-term potential who can learn from the veteran players of Gen.G, who have championship records. We also wanted players who have a flexible play style, and who have the skill to help the team achieve top scores in the Summer Split. We think we have found those abilities in Moon and Fly, so we are happy they have joined the team.”
