Combat
The combat for the game is definetly X-Com inspired, with a focus on strategy and team building. There are several different classes the player can gain access to, such as buffers, mixed damage, etc. The player will need to decide based upon the mission for what team composition will give them the highest chance of success. So, a team consisting of a 2 dps, 1 healer, and 1 supporter is probably a go to solution for most content in the game. However, there are times where the player will need to have 1 dps and the rest of the characters support that one just to clear the content in a straight forward manner.
Gacha
With the game being a gacha game there pay to play factors unless you have some really good gacha luck. Moreover, from the various 5 stars I got Suomi so far is by far a really good unit for most of the early chapters just due to the fact of her shield allowing her to just tank damage. As for how good she is the game, during the boss fights in the combat simulations, from my personal experience I focused on spamming her shield skills on the second dps character and brought down the boss in about 4 turns as the other two were Colphe and Groza. Aside from that, the game will no doubt get more characters and expand their roster over the course of the game’s life cycle.
Dormitory
The dormitory is a place where you can interact and send gift to your (dolls) owned gacha characters and mostly just interact with them via posing. Aside from that, the dispatch room is where you can send them out to collect various items somewhat similar to Nikke’s outpost defense and bulletin systems. This allows player to passively earn rewards while not playing the game, and in todays environment with people being busy this is a benefit to most players. As for how the player can obtain more items they will need to upgrade their dispatch room, by gifting their dolls various items to raise their bond with the player. By raising the bond with your dolls, you can then gain dispatch points that can be used to upgrade the level of the dispatch room. As for how the player can increase the bond is by giving the dolls gifts found in supply missions so it is very important to farm those stages not only for upgrade materials, but for gifts.
Weapons and Characters
This section is more or less self-explanatory, as this section focuses on the various weapons, attachments, and characters (dolls) the player has obtain during their course of the game. This system is sort of similar to other gacha games that have been around since Fate Grand Order, and as to what that system is, stems from obtaining duplicates of characters pulled from the gacha. This means that duplicates of characters and weapons are still beneficial in the long run for player as those lower rarity characters will become stronger overtime as they play the game some more and roll the gacha for limited characters. Moreover, this can be applied to the weapons gacha so those players familiar with Genshin Impact and Wuther Waves are going to be accustomed to this dual gacha system seen in the genre. Yet, there is one major difference and that stems from the attachments that can be applied to the weapons in GIRLS’ FRONTLINE 2: EXILIUM. By having attachments be an integral part in developing the weapons in this game allows for player customization especially in regards to how they look. As the player has the agency to change the physical appearance of the weapon and attachments to their hearts content.

I would describe myself when interacting with games as a strategist with a pension for stealth and loud explosions.
