Helsinki – The Human Resources Global Game Competition (HRGGC), aims to gamify processes in Human Resource Management to provide a modern and interactive ways to carry out Human Resource training.
HRGGC was a great chance for game developers around the world to show off their skills and win prizes. The competition started on 1 July 2018 (Saturday) and ended on 31 July 2018 (Friday).
The winners of HRGCC will be announced at the end of August and are being judged based on the following criteria:
- FUN: How fun is the game to play and is it able to keep a player interested? Are the objectives of the game easy to understand?
- FEEL: Is the art, style and ambiance consistent throughout the game? Is the game educational and positive?
- TARGET AUDIENCE: Is the game following the subject matter and effectively conveying Human Resources (HR) information to the target audience? Is the player able to learn about HR and workplace practices by playing the game?
- CREATIVITY: Is the game an entirely new concept or does it combine old ideas in new, interesting ways? What is the core mechanic?
The jury will consist of members of the Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF). The winning demo will be used by the Human Resource Development Fund (HRDF) of Malaysia to train HR personnel and employees all over the country in a modern and interactive way. The best three games will be awarded 2,000 USD, 1,000 USD, and 500 USD respectively. The final decision for the winners will be announced in the middle of September.
Full XP, a Finnish gaming company providing services for gaming and streaming apps, in collaboration with the HRDF, made this competition possible. HRDF is a dynamic organization established in 1993, under the Ministry of Human Resources. Governed by the Pembangunan Sumber Manusia Berhad Act 2001 (PSMB Act 2001), HRDF was given the mandate by the Malaysian Government to catalyse the development of competent local workforce that will contribute to Malaysia’s vision of becoming a high-income economy.
