“PAX East will always have a special place in our hearts since that’s where the very first MEGABOOTH made its debut back in 2012!” exclaimed Kelly Wallick, CEO and founder of Indie MEGABOOTH. “IMB has certainly come a long way, but it never gets old seeing the excitement our dev teams feel from successfully showing their games. Thanks to the support network we’ve built, and through the dedication of so many indie allies these showcases continue to be an important stepping stone for many teams and a supportive community throughout the year. It’s amazing to see the diversity not only in the types of games we’ve curated for the lineup, but also in the international reach of people represented among both the developer side but also our stellar volunteer team.”
IMB showcases are made possible thanks to generous sponsorships and partnerships from companies that see the importance of creating a sustainable independent game development ecosystem. It is thanks to returning partners at PlayStation and ID@Xbox, as well as Discord, Kartridge, Legion by Lenovo, Oculus, Unreal Engine/Epic Games, and Tencent that the MEGABOOTH continues to be a resource for so many international dev teams.
