Developer Caustic Reality is looking for your support on Kickstarter for their nightmarish, suburban horror game, Infliction.
After more than two years in development, the developer’s deeply unsettling suburban horror game is nearing completion. Inspired by the environmental storytelling of Gone Home, Infliction abandons players inside a deserted family home, trying to piece together the terrible events that occurred there. All the while, something stalks them, something angry and unforgiving, driven to violent retribution.
To help create the most polished and frightening game possible, Infliction has launched on Kickstarter. If successful, these funds will pay for a dedicated animator and give the developer the resources to add more polish. The Kickstarter runs until Thursday 26 July, with the game set for a Halloween release.
Infliction was created almost entirely by one man, Caustic Reality’s founder, Clinton McCleary. Clinton has acted as designer, programmer, artist, animator, and writer on this project.
