NUREMBERG – Intellivision Entertainment Europe continues to grow its footprint in all European markets as the company moves toward the October 2020 launch of the Intellivision Amico console. Speaking at Italy’s largest international game developer event, Gamerome, Hans Ippisch, President of European Operations will share insights on the console and why the company believes consumers are ready for a system that again puts them in a room together having fun versus the less personal remote gaming.
Designed to bring people back to the roots of gaming, Intellivision Amico is a home entertainment system that invites everyone to gather and play games together side by side. It will have a robust library of new games as well as a few reimagined classics that are easy to control, fun to get into and designed to bring people together.
“We’re thrilled to showcase Intellivision Amico at Gamerome. The European market has a huge audience of gamers and is a new hotbed for new game developers,” says Tommy Tallarico, CEO & President, Intellivision Entertainment. “People may not know but some of the greatest fans of the classic Intellivision console are in Italy.”
“I’m excited to speak at Gamerome and share the Intellivision Amico. With this console, we’re redefining entertainment once again and inviting everyone to have fun playing games together in the same room on the same couch,” notes Ippisch.
Intellivision Entertainment’s European headquarters is based in Nuremberg, Germany. The Amico debuted in Europe for the first time at devcom in Cologne last month.
