Japan Game Awards 2018 Announces Notice of Awards Ceremony

The 22th of Japan Game Awards will hold the awards ceremony on Thursday, September 20 and Sunday, Sep.23 for the Future Division, at the Event Stage (Hall 1) in TOKYO GAME SHOW 2018. Don’t miss the opportunity to capture the moment as various titles that symbolize this year’s game industry will be awarded.

“Game of the Year Division”“Game Designers Award”
“Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Award”
September 20 (Thu) 16:00 to 17:30 (Planned)
at Event Stage(Hall 1)

Each award for the “Games of the Year Division” is selected from over 1,000 titles released during the time between April 1, 2017 and March 31,2018 and honors a title suitable to represent this past year. The “Game Designers Award” is selected by top creators and designers in Japan from their professional viewpoint. The “Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Award” is given to an individual or group who has contributed to the development of the game industry.

“Future Division”
September 23 (Sun) 13:00 to 14:30 (Planned)
at Event Stage(Hall 1)

The award for the Future Division is applicable for unreleased titles that were announced and exhibited at the TGS2018, and votes were collected from visitors in three days during the event. After which, through a screening by the Japan Game Awards Selection Committee, a title with future prospective was selected.
