A new AAA video game based on Lionsgate’s billion-dollar John Wick franchise was revealed today at the Sony State of Play Showcase by best-selling video game publisher and developer Saber Interactive and global content leader Lionsgate. John Wick, the new single-player third-person action game, which is geared toward mature audiences and is presently being developed for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, will blend Saber’s well-established reputation for producing exhilarating gaming experiences that leave players wanting more with John Wick’s unmatched, adrenaline-fueled “gun-fu” fighting style. Both Keanu Reeves and Chad Stahelski, the director of the John Wick franchise, are participating in the game’s creation; Reeves has agreed to repeat his iconic character’s appearance, voice, and other aspects.

The new video game “Untitled John Wick Game,” which was developed in partnership with Saber, Lionsgate, and Stahelski, will have an original gameplay story that takes place in the John Wick timeline years prior to the Impossible Task. With well-known characters that fans are already familiar with and adore, as well as intriguing new ones made especially for this production, it will build on the franchise’s history during that period.
A hard-hitting gun-fu combat system, jaw-dropping camerawork, intense driving experiences, cinematic storytelling, and a bold range of atmospherically immersive environments are just a few of the distinctive elements and signature style that fans expect from a John Wick mission, and Saber’s authentic design will deliver on them. All of these elements are designed to make players feel as though they are actually playing the Baba Yaga in a John Wick film.
Fans have been yearning for the best John Wick gaming experience, and now they have it.
Both critics and fans praise the John Wick series for its realistic yet sophisticated fantasy of guns and fistfights. The John Wick universe also contains the television series The Continental, one of Peacock’s largest original releases of 2023, and the spinoff movie Ballerina, starring Ana de Armas, in addition to the four successful movies that have brought in over $1 billion globally. There are also plans for a follow-up movie to John Wick: Chapter 4 and a new movie with Donnie Yen as Caine.
The most well-known product of Saber Interactive is Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, a 2024 blockbuster that debuted with over seven million copies sold in its first year and garnered nominations for Best Action Game and Best Multiplayer at the Game Awards. Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 3 is already in development as a follow-up. The studio has a lengthy history of creating top-notch experiences based on popular IPs, such as World War Z, which has over 30 million players worldwide, Turok: Origins, John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando, and the upcoming Jurassic Park: Survival.
