Tripwire Interactive Celebrates Killing Floor 2: Cyber Revolt Update and the Rising Storm 2: Vietnam Spring Map Update with Steam Promotions
ROSWELL, Ga. – Tripwire Interactive, creators of the critically acclaimed Killing Floor and Red Orchestra franchises, will be releasing the first major content updates of 2019 later today for Killing Floor 2 and Rising Storm 2: Vietnam. To commemorate these first free updates of 2019, Tripwire Interactive is running a free week on Steam for both Killing Floor 2 and Rising Storm 2: Vietnam starting at 10 a.m. PDT today, March 26, and ending 10 a.m. PDT April 1. This free week runs alongside a Steam sale for the Killing Floor, Rising Storm, and Red Orchestra franchises.
Starting now, players on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam can jump into Killing Floor 2: Cyber Revolt Update and experience Spillway, a brand new map that along with the new weapons and cosmetics brings a cyberpunk aesthetic to the gruesome glory of Killing Floor 2. Now annihilating zeds is even more thrilling with two new weapons, the Helios Rifle and the Killerwatt, along with other new content like music, achievements, and prestige enhancements. Killing Floor 2: Cyber Revolt will also support limited-time objectives that will run until the end of the event, on April 23. The Rising Storm 2: Vietnam Spring Map Update, available now on Steam, introduces 3 new maps to the series:
- Apache Snow – A reimagining of classic map Winterwald from Red Orchestra 2
- DMZ – Another reimagined Red Orchestra 2 classic based on Mamayev
- Saigon – A popular community-made map that has been polished and made official
In Killing Floor 2, join a motley crew of civilians, soldiers, and mercenaries as they band together to fight off waves of murderous Zeds, horrific and monstrous clones that have descended upon continental Europe following an outbreak caused by the Horzine Corporation. Choose from multiple classes, tons of weapons ranging from traditional assault rifles to off-the-wall “Mad Scientist” tools of slaughter, and customize the perfect Zed-slaying warrior with a wide variety of perks geared toward different playstyles and roles. With support for up to 6-players in Survival Mode, 12-players for Versus Survival, and regular free content updates consisting of new maps, weapons and gameplay enhancements, Killing Floor 2 is the perfect starting point for players looking for FPS multiplayer mayhem.
Rising Storm 2: Vietnam is the sequel to Rising Storm, PC Gamer magazine’s 2013 ‘Multiplayer Game of the Year’, published by Tripwire Interactive and developed by Antimatter Games.
