Level Zero Extraction is a new Steam Early Access game that has been generating a lot of buzz because of the similarities to some already available FPS’s. Level Zero Extraction is developed by Doghowl Games and published by tinyBuild. The game is a cooperative first-person shooter that pits players against monsters. (Though the game is more of a PvPvPvE.)
The gameplay in Level Zero Extraction sets up a horror environment, and allows players to be either a monster or a mercenary. Playing as a mercenary does provide more dark vibes and makes the gameplay more tense, but also provides an interesting mix of enjoyment to coordinate with the teammates. Most of the time, mercenaries will need to scavenge and extract while the monster is hunting you.
The graphics in Level Zero Extraction are impressive. The game’s environments are detailed and atmospheric, and the character models are well-animated. The game also runs smoothly, even on lower-end PCs. The sound design in Level Zero Extraction is top-notch. The game’s soundtrack is suspenseful and immersive, and the sound effects are realistic and impactful.
Level Zero Extraction is a promising Early Access game. The game’s fast-paced gameplay, impressive graphics, and excellent sound design make it a must-play for fans of cooperative shooters.
The game is still plagued with issues that include the need to balance the gameplay, and because it’s a multiplayer game, network issues have been appearing with high ping or disconnection. Also, after a certain time, the gameplay loop feels a bit repetitive and boring.
Hoping that once we get towards the full release of the game, we will have a better stability and additional content will provide some fun ways to interact with the game.
You can try out Level Zero Extraction yourself today. It’s available for PC via Steam Early Access.
