Hooded Horse is getting ready to launch a major campaign at the June 2024 Steam Next Fest. Five demos, ranging from tactical roguelites to city-builders and other genres, are available for play from its collection of top tactical and strategic games.

Beyond These Stars (Balancing Monkey Games) – see trailer HERE
The upcoming city-building title, Beyond These Stars, from Balancing Monkey Games is prepared for release. Discover the mysteries of the cosmos while exploring the stars, establishing colonies, encountering extraterrestrials, and rebuilding civilization atop a sentient space whale named Kewa.
Players’ decisions will affect their relationship with Kewa, a gorgeous beast, so they must figure out how to establish and develop a civilization while managing intricate supply lines, limited space, and scarce resources.
Early access to Beyond These Stars will be available for PC users via Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store.
Blacksmith Master (Unititled Studios) – see trailer HERE
Players must operate the greatest blacksmith in the community in Untitled Studios’ smithing sequel, which is a spiritual successor to the charming tavern management game Tavern Master. Oversee the complete manufacturing line by creating a wide range of goods, from the extraction of precious metals to the processing of ore to the crucial process of smithing. Players will need to select their area of expertise and make plans appropriately. Items range from cups and saucers to swords, shields, and even exquisite jewelry.
As part of a completely new strategy map, the player’s journey starts with them carrying out crucial orders for the Kingdom. Eventually, they create a storefront where they offer only the best goods to eager customers from all throughout the country. To ensure that gamers can train the next generation of Blacksmith Masters, everything will need to be designed from the ground up, including the shop and production facilities.

Fata Deum (42 Bits Entertainment)
The much awaited God Games evolution is making its way to Next Fest with a brand-new demo experience that highlights all of the advancements made throughout the last few years. Inspired by the classic God Games, Fata Deum allows users to create custom towns and inhabitants and observe as a live universe develops at their command. Other strong Gods will also need to be faced, with players vying for the loyalty of the populace either through rivalry or AI.

Heart of the Machine (Arcen Games) – See trailer HERE
With great excitement, Hooded Horse presents the first-ever gameplay trailer for Heart of the Machine, a science fiction sandbox strategy game. Since the game’s initial announcement at the end of 2022, not much information has been released, and it has undergone numerous revisions and alterations. Chris McElligott Park, the developer and founder of Arcen Games, has characterized the final idea as “a love letter to science fiction,” which is completely different.
In the turn-based 4X RPG Heart of the Machine, players assume control of the first conscious artificial intelligence in history. As it tries to survive in a dystopian society on the verge of collapse, it must construct covert bases, spread consciousness among an army of androids, and find a reason. Take part in strategic combat, establish supply lines between bases, and unleash legions of machine cults—including a few enormous mechs—on a city teeming with rival factions.

Super Fantasy Kingdom (Feryaz Beer) – See trailer HERE
The immensely captivating fantasy roguelike city-builder is making a comeback and is using the lessons learnt from its first prototype phase into its new demo, which it is bringing to Next Fest. Discover the full potential of this fantastic strategy game, which combines auto-battles in the vein of Bullet Hell with abstract city administration.
Construct your kingdom again and discover a lively fantasy realm: Take on legions of monsters while harvesting, building, mining, cooking, brewing, and growing with a special band of defenders. If your defenses fail, though, get ready to see it all burn!
