Milestone’s SBK22 Review for Steam

SBK22 is a new racing game in the motorbike simulation racing game genre, by developers and publisher Milestone. SBK22 is a racing sim game, which starts off with some tutorials that show off a lot of mechanics and introduces players to the difficulties and aids settings that can be changed. I felt the previous entry MotoGP 22 to be a much-needed welcome addition for a lot of new players to racing sim games.

Milestone’s SBK22 Review for Steam

I tried a few different ways to race and it was difficult for me to actually play the game. I would say SBK22 does have a learning curve; you can’t just get on and do a quick play and just start winning. I found braking to be one of the biggest hurdles during my play and had to learn how to properly brake before the turns. Even a small mistake can make you fall. Fortunately, there is a rewind button that does make things less complicated and allows you to fix your mistakes. Well, sometimes while fixing a mistake, you make another mistake. But that is the fun of playing and does provide a learning curve for players to get used to.

Though the game looks amazing when you are actually in career mode and playing against the opponents, all the details on the track and the bike are amazing and graphics are really similar to that of MotoGP 22 I would say. Maybe because they are from the same developers. It does include the Career Mode, Championship, Time Trials, and Quick Play modes.

Overall, though, I would say that SBK22 is a decent game, but with a bunch of already existing games it’s hard to differentiate if you do not provide some unique features and additions to the game. Also, the learning curve to get into SBK22 might keep a lot of players away from the game. And last thing I would mention is the lack of an environment around the tracks, though not to mention the tracks and bikes and all the graphics look great but the things outside the tracks and after the races feels a little lifeless.

SBK 22 is even made for epic multiplayer races up to 12 players that can create online lobbies where competitions reach another level. SBK 22 is available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam.
