The thrill of the rush and hunger for victory! Do you have it? Milestone S.r.l.’s new motorcycle racing simulation game, Monster Energy Supercross: The Official Video Game 2 for Nintendo Switch gives a special take on the fast-paced life of supercross, allowing players to try their best at achieving SX stardom through single-player and multi-player competitions. As players rush to reach first-place and achieve fame within the SX community, they compete on a variety of unbelievably realistic tracks, customize their bikes and even meet their loyal fans! Fame isn’t easy and neither is the fierce competition, but with enough training, players are sure to achieve glory.
In Monster Energy Supercross: The Official Video Game 2, the objective is simple: get famous using your riding abilities! However, this is easier said than done. Players must train hard, earn sponsors, and gain a fanbase as they crush their competitors. Since riding is the focus of the game, I was thrilled Milestone S.r.l. made the mechanics so self-explanatory. By putting the acceleration and brakes on the triggers, it allows the player to jump right in with ease. Initially, I was disappointed by how stiff the controls felt, and I specifically found turning corners to be a main concern. But luckily with the training mode I was able to practice between races which made the controls easier to understand. So, I suggest players set aside time in their schedule to train. There are a variety of modules available, so players should home in on weaknesses and be vigilant in the areas they need improvement!
To better help with the complicated controls, Milestone S.r.l. has put in a considerable amount of available customization for the player’s bikes in addition to rider aesthetics and map options! These different customization options are helpful because it allows players to personalize their rider and boost things such as speed, acceleration, handling, and braking power, all of which are vital to success! This, along with avid training, allows players to pave their way to fame. After all, to become recognized you must be one of the best!
Reality and fantasy coincide perfectly with the hyper-real graphics and sound effects of Monster Energy Supercross: The Official Video Game 2, giving players a glimpse of life of a supercross racer. While drifting in and out of turns, players will feel as if they truly are experiencing a ride on renowned tracks like Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida! These legendary tracks are brought to life before the players eyes and it is a truly fantastic experience.
Considering the dangerous life of a supercross rider, one must ask themselves if they would have the courage to get behind the bars and ride the course. In Milestone S.r.l.’s new motorcycle racing game, brave players can take the ride to fame and live out their dream of achieving supercross stardom. Without a doubt, Monster Energy Supercross: The Official Video Game 2 proves winning is no easy task but if you train hard and put forth your best effort you are sure to be the next SX star.
Score: 7.4/10

Nintendo Switch Review
My name is Haylee, but everyone calls me "Haylz". Gaming has been a passion of mine since my grandma bought me The Sims for PC and my love for gaming flourished from there. Currently, I'm a Senior studying English at Texas A&M University- Corpus Christi and spend most of my time gaming and leading my school through collegiate competitions as President of the eSports club! Despite being a dedicated vegetarian, my favorite games tend to be First Person Shooters and I'm naturally drawn to blood and gore! Chances are, if you can kill in it, I'll play it... I just won't eat it (unless it's a Fallout perk)!
