Developer as well as publishers, Milestone S.r.l., is back with another racing game this year. Last time I did played Ride 2 and MXGP 3, which provided me with experience of motorbikes racing and motocross. This year I was able to give MXGP Pro a try. The racing games have come a long way, and Milestone’s games have kept on improving over these years as well.
MXGP Pro looks visually so amazing, I literally felt like watching live action racing, rather than just being like a video game graphics. The dirt tracks and even the bikes look amazingly beautiful. The graphics in comparison to the previous MXGP game, this one has definitely excelled. The game has been improved a lot as well, when comes to control and gameplay as the movements of the bike and ease of use has been simplified as it seems based on the previous controls/gameplay. The previous mechanics of reversal is still available in the game. So in case you fall or crash you can get to do the reversal.
MXGP Pro provides a great number of different modes, including career, grand prix and simple races as well. The game has some great deal of tracks such as Qatar and Italy. The game also has some great additions of challenges and pro physics added to it. The bikes are fully customizable – based on the popularity, the player can get in the Careers mode, the player can get additional sponsors which allows you to improvise the bike parts provided from those sponsors. I tried the customization and it was really great. On top of the customization of parts, players can also customize the bike’s engine. The player can also try the skills in the Compound which is for players to run through a free ride course.
The dirt physics are dynamic and are changing as well, the reason being if player or any other bikes goes through the dirt, the quality of changes alters the track a lot. And while running through the course, the player can feel the difference. MXGP PRO is definitely a gem for the motocross lovers.
After playing through enough number of laps and trying to go through all different kind of laps, MXGP PRO is a huge improvement to its predecessors. Also the downside is if you are not an actual enthusiast of the sport, the things might turn out to be a bit repetitive after a while. I would give this game a solid 8.5 stars.
