With great pleasure, Midnight Forge, an independent developer working alone, announces today that on Thursday, August 15, players will be able to download a PC preview of their next detective horror game, Nowhere, via Steam.

The upcoming hardcore detective horror game Nowhere skillfully combines a highly atmospheric Nordic setting, classic survival horror mechanics, deep, enigmatic storytelling, and engaging investigative gameplay.
Players take on the role of a detective searching for a party of missing tourists in this game, which is set deep into Norway’s forests. As the investigation takes a supernatural turn, it soon becomes clear that there is more to the disappearances than meets the eye. Players are thrown headfirst into a distinct and terrifying take on Norse mythology and will have to piece together the gods’ tragic tale after Ragnarök.
About 20 to 30 minutes of gameplay make up the demo, which only offers a small sample of the features found in the complete game. As they start to put together the mysterious disappearance of the missing campers and learn the truth about an old and eerie ceremony, players will explore a number of interesting locations. But it won’t be simple; behind the pines, inconceivable things wait in the shadows.

- Non-Linear Open World – At your own speed, explore and examine several eerie areas across the intensely spooky Scandinavian woodland.
- Realistic Investigation Mechanics – You won’t feel like a real detective anywhere. Investigate independently, then connect the dots and come to your own conclusions; look for hints while examining potential research sites.
- Dynamic Shifting Environment – A far-off trumpet blasts, and the woodland around you contorts and becomes corrupted, becoming a nightmare come true. From the shadows, Draugr pursue you, waiting for you to turn around. Run! Hide! Battle! Make it through!
