In-game Events Showcasing History’s Iconic Weapons and Soldiers with the Premier Challenge, The Steel Crossbow and the French Arbalestier, Available Now
Emeryville, Calif. – Nexon and Big Huge Games are teaming up with HISTORY to bring the iconic weapons showcased on the television competition series, Forged in Fire, to the mobile battlefields of the hit mobile strategy game, DomiNations. For seven consecutive new episodes, Forged in Fire will see the weapons crafted by the competition’s world-class bladesmiths integrated into DomiNations, giving players a chance to unlock the historical soldiers equipped with the unique weapons that changed the course of history.
Players can now participate in limited-time, in-game events that will feature unique challenges and historical background based on that week’s episode of Forged in Fire which airs Wednesdays at 9pm/8C on HISTORY. Upon completing each challenge, players will unlock a variety of rewards, with the final challenge unlocking a unit that wields the featured weapon. The first challenge is available now for players and features the The Steel Crossbow, the powerful heavy weapon of choice of the French Arbalestier. Players that participate in the limited-time events will earn access to the Forge, a new structure that allows players to train powerful troops wielding the iconic weapons from Forged in Fire.

Downloaded more than 40 million times worldwide, DomiNations puts players in command of one of eight nations where they must advance their civilization through human history starting at the Stone Age and moving up through modern times. Players will research powerful advancements in technology, recruit elite soldiers from the course of history and build devastating weaponry to take on their opponents on the battlefield and destroy their cities.
HISTORY’s Forged in Fire is an original competition series hosted by weapons expert and U.S. Army and Air Force veteran Wil Willis, featuring world-class bladesmiths competing to create history’s most iconic edged weapons. “Forged in Fire” is produced for HISTORY by Outpost Entertainment, a Leftfield Entertainment company. Jodi Flynn, David George, Simon Thomas and Paul Hogan are executive producers for Outpost Entertainment. Jim Pasquarella is executive producer for HISTORY.
