In 2025, the Nintendo Switch 2—the system’s successor—will go on sale. In a video revealing the hardware today, Nintendo gave fans a first look at the Nintendo Switch 2.

The Nintendo Switch 2 can play both digital and physical Nintendo Switch games, as well as games that are only available on the Switch 2. It’s possible that some Nintendo Switch games won’t work or be completely compatible with the Switch 2. Later on, information will be posted on the Nintendo website.
You will be able to watch the “Nintendo Direct: Nintendo Switch 2 – 4.2.2025” on Wednesday, April 2 for additional information about the Nintendo Switch 2.
In cities all across the world, Nintendo will also host Nintendo Switch 2 Experience events where customers may interact with the Switch 2.
