Introduction/Information about Off The Grid
The game Off The Grid is available for early access on PC via Epic Games Store , Xbox Series X, and PlayStation 5. Off The Grid is an upcoming cyberpunk-themed battle royale game where players will fight with other players using different weapons as well as different cyber parts. Battle Royale games are not really my kind of game. However, I felt that Off The Grid, did have a nice, unique spin on their gameplay, which I did appreciate. After playing Off The Grid, I would say the game so far is a fun, unique game for those who enjoy the battle royale genre.
Gameplay
The gameplay for Off The Grid, like many battle royale games, consists of fighting against a massive group of players and to be the last man standing. To do this, players will team up in groups of three and shoot their enemies using whatever loot they can find. When players loot, they will gain different kinds of weapons as well as money that can be used to revive oneself. What makes this battle royale game stand out compared to the others, however, is the use of cyber parts. When players loot, there will also be a different selection of cyber parts for players to gain. All players will have cybernetic arms and cybernetic legs that will enhance their abilities and arsenal. The cybernetic arms will give the players different abilities that are mainly for attack. These abilities can include shooting missiles, unleashing powerful punches, and even throwing strange weaponry. Of course, there are still some arm abilities, such as grappling, that can enhance movement as well.
One of my favorite cybernetic arms to use is an arm that launches homing missiles onto the enemy. The cybernetic legs will give the players different abilities that are mainly for movement. From what I’ve played, these abilities mainly consisted of extreme increases in speed, with the addition of different effects. There are also abilities that give players a jump of extreme heights. There are a variety of different cybernetic arms and legs for players to try. I recommend players to try out different combinations of cyber parts to see what works best.
Final thoughts
Overall, I believe the game Off The Grid is a fun and unique form of the battle royale genre so far that I feel players can appreciate and enjoy. I did appreciate and enjoy the game’s unique spin on the genre. There is one disclaimer I should mention for people who want to play on PC. The game does seem to be demanding in terms of specs, so if players do try to play on PC, make sure the specs match up. If the game starts experiencing problems, then players should change to ultra performance mode. If you are the kind of player who enjoys battle royale games and wants to try a new spin on it, then I would recommend trying out this game.
