More than 70 independent games to be showcased at the Indie MEGABOOTH this year
Seattle, WA – August 11, 2015 – Now in its fourth year, Indie MEGABOOTH will return to PAX Prime once again at the end of August and will bring more than 70 independent games across its MEGABOOTH, MINIBOOTH, and TABLETOP spaces. Its massive footprint – more than 5,500 square feet – will host a diverse collection of PC, console, and tabletop games August 28-31 at the Washington State Convention Center.
Nearly half of the titles being shown are new to Indie MEGABOOTH with some playable publicly for the first time, including 90s mystery Kathy Rain by Clifftop Games and the follow-up to Vagabond Dog’s story-rich RPG Sometimes Always Monsters.
Additionally, there will be an official PAX screening of Thank You For Playing, a documentary based on the development of immersive adventure game That Dragon, Cancer. The screening will take place on August 30 at 8 p.m. at the Sasquatch Theatre and is open to all Sunday pass holders. That Dragon, Cancer will be playable at the Indie MEGABOOTH at PAX Prime.
Indie MEGABOOTH is independently run by newly-appointed chairperson of the Independent Games Festival Kelly Wallick, Chris Floyd and a small team of passionate indie game enthusiasts. In the last four years, Indie MEGABOOTH has helped more than 300 indie developers bring their games to thousands of fans.
Indie MEGABOOTH would like to thank this year’s returning primary sponsors Sony PlayStation and Microsoft Xbox for their continued support, as well as Cards Against Humanity for the Indie TABLETOP partnership. Special thanks to Intel and Alienware for providing hardware at the show, and to Google Play, Twitch, and GungHo Online Entertainment.
