Aftercharge is a PvP FPS from Chainsawesome Games. It will be available on Xbox One and PC Summer 2018.
Aftercharge is a competitive online 3v3 shooter that pits invisible robots against their invincible creators. There are attackers and defenders. As an attacker, you will take control of an invisible robot and attempt to destroy the energy extractors. As a defender, you will take control of the invincible enforcers and shut down the robots trying to destroy the energy extractors. It’s a bold and fresh new take on the classic shooter formula that is needed in the genre. If the Battle Royale style was the new game mode of 2017, this could very well be the new game mode of 2018.
Invisible attackers are only able to punch, and cannot do much besides knock their opponents back a few feet. The invincible defenders can shoot attackers, and win the round by putting all three attackers down at once. It’s possible for attackers to revive allies, and win the round by destroying all the energy extractors on the map. Once the attackers punch they lose their invisibility making them vulnerable to attack. Each player has their own special power like a trip mine revealing attackers or a bubble shield to black incoming fire from defenders.
The constant game of cat-and-mouse is what makes the game so interesting. Constant teamwork and communication among your team is necessary for victory. Right now there are only 3 characters with unique special abilities available for both sides. It isn’t possible for two player to have the same special ability making the game much more balanced and requiring cooperative play. There are plans to add two more characters for attackers and defenders before launch making a total of 5 possible characters to pick from for each side. Chainsawesome Games also plan on adding more maps and characters even after launch.
You can wishlist Aftercharge on Steam right now.

I was born and raised in a town so small there were more cows than people. I joined the USAF as soon as I could, and I currently reside in San Antonio. I am a singer/songwriter on the side, but I've been a gamer since birth. I grew up with PlayStation and Nintendo, though, I don't discriminate between consoles and PC. I have a PC with a 3080, Steam Deck, and a PS5.
