Introduction/Information about Petal Runner
Petal Runner is a game that plans to release on Steam, with a demo out now. In this open-world RPG, players will ride through North Valley and become Petal Runners, where they will make deliveries, meet new people, play different mini games, and experience a story about life and loss. RPGs have always been a favorite genre of mine, so this game already intrigued me. When playing through the demo, I ended up having a lot of fun getting lost and messing around in this seemingly small world. After playing through the Petal Runner demo, I would say this is a fun RPG with a very charming style and visuals.

Gameplay
The gameplay for Petal Runner involved a lot of exploration and playing different minigames. Upon starting the demo, players will begin exploring what seems to be a storage facility filled with broken junk. Here, players can move around and inspect different parts of the area. Something I really enjoyed when playing through the demo was seeing how many different objects could be inspected. Even if the object didn’t really do anything, it would still have its own little description to go with it. Small details like that go a really long way for me, so I was pretty happy to see things like that. Moving on, players will make their way through the area and quickly see more of the RPG elements that come into play. In order to restore a goop creature back to its former self, as well as do other major parts of the game, the player will need to do “calibration.” In order to successfully complete a calibration, the player will have to complete different sets of small mini games. For the most part, all these mini games were pretty easy. They were all mini games where I would just have to do some small actions. Games like pressing a button at the right time to feed an animal or playing a game of ping pong and making sure I align myself with the ball. Very small, very simple, and very easy, which I think fits perfectly with the game and its charm. Once players fix up the goop creature and manage to make their way back outside, North Valley is waiting for them to be explored. Here, players can hop on their bike and start exploring. I think my favorite part about playing through this demo was just experiencing the small charm it had. From the visuals to the dialogue to what felt like the overall style of the game, it had a very fun charm to say the least.

Final thoughts
Overall, I believe the game demo for Petal Runner was a fun and charming RPG with great visuals and gameplay. I always love playing through an RPG, and I really enjoyed playing through this small demo, to say the least. If you are looking for a small and charming new RPG to play through, then I would recommend downloading the demo for Petal Runner out now on Steam.
