PopCap Games has confirmed that Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare will launch without microtransactions.
In a press conference, PopCap Games Producer, Brian Lindley, stated to GameSpot,
“So we’re not going to have any microtransactions at all at launch.”
The developer will instead take a look at in-game metrics as well as consult player feedback to determine the next step.
Lindley also state that,
“The Xbox One outputs in 1080p. I will say we’re not running at the same resolution as Battlefield. Battlefield 4 runs at 720p on Xbox One, and it was previously stated that PvZ: GW runs at 60fps on the console.”
Gamespot contacted a PopCap representative for further clarification,
“On next-gen consoles, players can experience all EA games at 1080p. Some are rendered natively, others are up-scaled by the next-gen hardware systems. Either way, the visuals are stunning and the gameplay is impeccable, regardless of platform.”
