PowerWash Simulator 2 Adventure Time Pack Review for Xbox Series X/S

Being a longtime fan of both PowerWash Simulator and Adventure Time, I knew that I would love the PowerWash Simulator 2: Adventure Time Special Pack. The first job is to clean the inside of Finn and Jake’s treehouse, which includes a whole bunch of references from the show including Marceline’s bass and BMO sitting on the table, who you can pet just like the cats within the base game. The colors throughout the game are bright and happy, matching well with the aesthetic of the show. I also love the text messages in the game and I thought they were funny and in-character.

I played up until when you have to clean the entire outside of Finn and Jake’s treehouse, because it is definitely a lot more work when compared to the previous jobs. The entirety of the outside of Finn and Jake’s treehouse even includes a new way to move around with a rope and pulley system that lets you get up high to clean the leaves and branches of the treehouse. The other jobs are balanced well with cleaning the inside of the treehouse, two stores and a home in the Candy Kingdom, the Ice King’s castle, and Lemongrab’s carriage along with a Candy plane. Hidden somewhere in each job, you can find the Snail who became a running gag within the show as he was always seen within the background.

It being my first time playing PowerWash Simulator 2 after only playing the first game, I will also review the updated controls and mechanics. First off, FuturLab adding three cats within your homebase is a very cute change. Of course they also had to add the petting mechanic along with the cats purring. Secondly, they changed a few controls around and added more to make switching out the washers easier by using Y instead of just going into your inventory. The button to highlight dirt was also changed to be RS instead of the right D-pad. I find the controls easy to pick up and you can jump right into cleaning with no trouble.

Overall, I recommend PowerWash Simulator 2: Adventure Time Special Pack to anyone who loves Adventure Time as well as simulator games. The game makes me want to rewatch the show again.
