PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS Update 39.2 Expands Erangel: Subzero Experience

With the release of Update 39.2 for PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS, KRAFTON, Inc. has expanded Erangel: Subzero, the game’s iconic level with a winter theme. In order to increase tension throughout matches, the update adds more survival mechanics, increases the severity of extreme weather, and presents new environmental dangers. PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS Update 39.2 Key Features:

• Expanded Environment for Erangel: Subzero: Erangel: Subzero, which was first released in December, now has more severe winter conditions throughout the whole map. In Normal Match, Ranked, and Custom Match, survival tension is increased by stronger blizzards and whiteout effects that decrease visibility.
• New Special Zone – Satellite Crash: The Red Zone in Erangel: Subzero has been replaced by Satellite Crash, a new Special Zone, in Update 39.2. During a match, satellites repeatedly fall onto the map, creating Blue Zone spheres and causing impact damage. These crash locations present gamers with high-risk, high-reward decision points because, despite their extreme hazard, they also contain significant loot.
• New Survival Tools for Extreme Conditions: Update 39.2 expands tactical options in harsh winter conditions by introducing new tools that are only accessible through wrecked satellites. While the Thermal Protection Suit reduces Blue Zone damage and stops freezing effects, its durability diminishes as damage is received. The Frost Zone Bomb generates a sizable freezing Blue Zone that might interfere with combat flow.
• Additional Gameplay and System Updates: In addition to Erangel, the update increases spawns in Secret Rooms and rebalances item spawning on Rondo to enhance looting consistency. A new secondary password option on PCs replaces SMS verification for Ranked mode and improves account security.
• Quality-of-Life Improvements: The introduction of a new Survivor Pass, improved Team Deathmatch notification effects, higher salvage limits in the Hideout, and numerous bug fixes for all platforms are among the other changes.
