Gamers afflicted by color blindness just received a major assist in PUBG MOBILE in the 17.0 update, thanks to a suggestion that came directly from the game’s Reddit community.
Color blindness affects approximately 1 in 12 men (8%) and 1 in 200 women in the world, with more than 300 million people with color blindness worldwide. With more than 600 million global downloads of PUBG MOBILE, this means that as many as 18 million members of our community could be at a disadvantage while playing.
The new Colorblind Mode allows PUBG MOBILE players to choose from three options, changing the display colors for elements of the game including minimap markers, trajectory indicators for throwable items like grenades and molotov cocktails, smoke from airdrops, poison, incoming fire indicators and the Red Zone.
This is part of PUBG MOBILE’s continuing efforts to help both players and the world we live in. PUBG MOBILE recently partnered with Global Green and Omaze for #Fight4TheAmazon, a massive social impact campaign to raise significant funds for the restoration of the Amazon rainforest.
