Gunfire Games released the The Dark Horizon DLC for REMNANT II. For those who are not familiar with the game, REMNANT II is a third person shooter RPG. REMNANT II has been a fantastic follow-up to the surprise hit of 2019, building on the foundation of its predecessor with clever level design, challenging encounters, and deep build customization.
The Dark Horizon takes players back to the world of N’Erud. But this new location is filled with mysteries and allows players to explore this engaging world. Also there are carefully crafted areas that will allow players to be rewarded for exploring. Also there is a glider provided to glide across some of the farther reaching area with waterbody below and allowing a gust of air for players to travel farther.
The Dark Horizon DLC introduces a host of new enemies, each with unique attack patterns and strategies required to overcome them. From corrupted robots to mutated creatures, the combat encounters are as challenging as ever, demanding precision and adaptability. The boss battles are particularly memorable, with creative mechanics and satisfying difficulty.
On top of already existing archetypes, The Dark Horizon also introduces a new archetype, the Warden. This archetype focuses on both ranged and melee combat, utilizing a powerful javelin and a trusty companion drone. The Warden’s versatility adds another layer to Remnant 2’s already deep build crafting system, offering new and exciting ways to approach combat.
Alongside the paid DLC, Gunfire Games also released a free update that includes the highly anticipated Boss Rush mode. This mode allows players to face a gauntlet of bosses, offering a challenging test of skill and a great way to farm for rewards. The inclusion of this free content alongside the paid DLC demonstrates the developer’s commitment to supporting the game and its community.
Though most of the The Dark Horizon is amazing as it is, it does feel a little short in terms of overall length of the playthrough. REMNANT II: The Dark Horizon is a worthy addition to an already excellent game. The new content is engaging and challenging, the new archetype is a welcome addition, and the free Boss Rush mode adds significant replay value. REMNANT II: The Dark Horizon is a must play; I would rate it a solid 9 stars.
