Rodeo Games Release Unreal Engine 4, Warhammer 40,000: Deathwatch - Enhanced Edition for PC

Guildford, 16th October, 2015Rodeo Games, creators of Warhammer Quest and the Hunters series today releases their first PC game. The studio’s latest title Warhammer 40,000: Deathwatch –  Enhanced Edition is the culmination of a two year development collaboration between Rodeo Games, Games Workshop and Epic Games.

Command the ultimate Kill Team of Space Marines. Warhammer 40,000: Deathwatch is a turn-based strategy game, set on the edge of Imperial space, where your Space Marines will take on the Tyranids in a series of tactical battles. From war ravaged cities, to the insides of Tyranid bio-ships, the missions will see your Kill Team rise in strength and skill as you face ever greater threats and peril.

Players will have their first opportunity to command the most elite force of the Imperium, the Deathwatch Space Marines. Only the very best Space Marines are chosen to serve, and players can choose Space Marines from the Ultramarines, Space Wolves, Blood Angels, Dark Angels, Imperial Fists & Black Templars chapters.

Players will be fighting to keep the Astolat sector from being consumed by the Tyranid forces, in the game’s 20 hour single player campaign.

Laurent Maguire of Rodeo Games says, “Deathwatch brings a new part of the Warhammer 40,000 universe into the hands of fans. We’re looking forward to building on the franchise over the coming years.”

Jon Gillard, Head of Licensing at Games Workshop, said “Rodeo is simply a great developer, full of really talented guys, who make wonderful games. In Deathwatch, they have one of the most iconic and exciting areas of Warhammer 40,000. This makes for a powerful combination – a team at the top of their game, using a fantastic IP and top notch technology. The result is a stunning gaming experience.”

Mike Gamble, European Territory Manager at Epic Games, said “It’s been fantastic having a top notch team like Rodeo choose to build Deathwatch using Unreal Engine 4, and bonus – now we all get to play it!  We’re proud to support Rodeo and Games Workshop in this highly anticipated release.”
