The first glimpse of gameplay for the upcoming tactical open world extraction shooter Exoborne has been unveiled in a new video by publisher Level Infinite and developer Sharkmob. The developers also revealed that Exoborne would be participating in a closed beta test in the near future, in addition to being present at this year’s gamescom at the Level Infinite booth. With a release date of 2025, Exoborne is presently being developed for PC and consoles.

In Exoborne, a tactical open-world extraction shooter set in a post-apocalyptic United States altered by extraordinary forces of nature gone wild, players must prepare, enter, and exit. Groups and teams of players are dropped into a lethal elemental chaos and hostile online environment in Exoborne, where they assume the role of Reborn, extraordinary survivors with the ability to employ powerful Exo-Rigs in a world full of hostile Reborn and fighting factions. Reborn can withstand the harsh forces of nature and use their Exo-Rig talents to channel that raw power into movement and fight. Players are given the opportunity to craft their own narratives with each visit by means of public events, dynamic risks posed by the environment, and perilous quests.
Never before has it been truer than when players venture into the center of a storm in search of the greatest potential loot. But will they be able to carry it back home? large risks generate large rewards. The only way to stay alive and get ready for the unexpected difficulties that lie ahead is to explore the crumbling remnants of civilization and scavenge for equipment and technology. In the meantime, the stakes will always be higher, and there will always be a continual dread of losing everything.
