Show off Your Skills in the Tetris 99 2nd MAXIMUS CUP

The Tetris 99 MAXIMUS CUP is back … and players of all skill levels can join in on the fun!

From April 12 at 6 a.m. PT through April 14 at 11:59 p.m. PT, just start playing the game to enter. The Tetris 99 2nd MAXIMUS CUP is different than the first one, as you don’t have to win first place to score points. Even if you place high during matches, but don’t win, you could still come out on top.

The higher you place at the end of each match, the more points you earn, with every 100 points counting as a TETRIS MAXIMUS. During the week of April 28, the top 999 players with the most event points will be notified, and each will receive 999 My Nintendo Gold Points*.

By participating in this event you could end up winning enough Gold Points to get some awesome games in Nintendo eShop on Nintendo Switch, or even other fun goodies! More information about My Nintendo Gold Points can be discovered by visiting https://my.nintendo.com/about_gold_point.

In addition to the free-to-download software Tetris 99, Nintendo Switch Online members gain access to online play and Save Data Cloud backup in compatible games, a selection of classic NES games with newly added online play and a smartphone app that enhances features of supported games. For more information about Nintendo Switch Online, to view membership options and to learn about a free seven-day trial for new users, visit https://www.nintendo.com/switch/online-service/.

Don’t miss out and feel like an awkwardly placed L-Tetrimino. Slide into this online event like an I-Tetrimino fitting snuggly into the side of a full Matrix and have a high-scoring blast!

Tetris 99 is available for free on Nintendo Switch as a special offer for people with a Nintendo Switch Online membership. In the game, you play matches where 99 players compete together until only one is left standing.
