During Steam Next Fest, which runs from today, October 14 to October 21, independent developer Gemelli Games will be featuring the demo of their next fantasy tactical role-playing game, Skygard Arena. This demo, which is currently available for PC via Steam, offers players a unique opportunity to learn about the fundamental gameplay mechanics of Skygard Arena as well as some of its playable Champions, special venues, and more.
Alexandre Colin, Co-Founder & CEO at Gemelli Games said, “It’s thrilling to participate in this month’s Steam Next Fest with our debut game. This demo is the result of 3 years of hard work and numerous iterations with our community. We are excited to let more players enjoy Skygard Arena and cannot wait to see the creative strategies they come up with! Their feedback will be very important to us as we prepare for our Early Access release later this year.”
Get a sneak peek at the game’s Arena mode with the Skygard Arena Demo. Enter the battle without any time or game limit after four tutorial missions to learn the fundamentals! Play alone against either the studio’s in-house Experimental AI, which is modeled after chess engines, for a different kind of challenge, or the Classic AI, which is ideal for training over your first games. With the demo’s worldwide matchmaking feature, you can take the battle online and compete against other players to go up the leaderboard, or you may play for fun against a friend! There are a total of 7 Champions that may be unlocked through online gaming or AI competition.
In addition, every Champion will have a different Persona that comes with a unique moveset and more than 50 items that can be used to customize your squad and play the way you choose. The initial chapters of Skygard Arena’s single-player campaign mode will be playable when the game opens in Early Access later this year. This demo is a unique experience created to highlight the game’s essential gameplay features!
Building your dream team is essential in Skygard Arena. With thousands of possibilities, you can put together a team of three players, each of which has two unique Personas that alter their skill sets and gameplay experiences. There are currently nine Champions with more to be added during Early Access. Use game-changing artifacts to increase their power. For example, will you arm Champei with Iron Chains to impair your enemies’ movement or a Crimson Gem to send a barrage of Bleed affects their way? You can build any kind of squad you want to fit your strategy; the options are unlimited.
Take part in strategic battles where every move matters: arrange your Champions well, wait for the ideal opportunity to use powerful final spells, and shift the balance of power in your favor. To obtain a tactical edge, fight for control of pillars, or take a huge chance and launch a daring attack on your opponent’s core pillar for an immediate victory. In order to outwit your rivals and win, you can reposition your squad using dash skills, calculated movements, or even teleportation between controlled Pillars! Each turn is full with exciting options!
You can now play the Skygard Arena demo for PC via Steam. For more information, visit the official website.
