Sniper Elite 4 Review for PS4

Sniper Elite 4 Review for PS4

Last time I played as a sniper was in Battlefield Bad Company 2, where you have to do sound masking using natural phenomenon. That is where I actually loved to play as a sniper using all the environmental skills. Then I saw some gameplays of previous Sniper Elite games when they came out and I was so excited to play them but didn’t get the chance.

I finally got the chance to play Sniper Elite 4 by developer Rebellion. Playing through the Nazi era and playing a sniper, kind of a one man army feels great. Sniper Elite 4 has a lot of things that will make players to fall in love with the game itself.

Sniper Elite 4 has multiple modes to play with, including single player, cooperative and multiplayer modes. I prefer single player since it is a lot fun to go through the missions and do some special cam kills. The game has a lot of different gameplay styles you can go for. We will go through the gameplay first.

Sniper Elite 4 starts with us as a player in center of island full of infantries. We have to use the bushes and grasses, climbing skills, and a lot of different stealth techniques. The game provides the player with different tools available to us as well, like mines and trip wires, that are actually fun to use in the game. You hide the bodies, do stealth kills, hide on the top most spot and start doing some cam shot kills. There are a lot of ways you can conceal your sniper shot noise using the generators and making the loud noise out of it.

The most fun is running guns blazing in the location and hiding in a location where there is just one entrance – all I did was start shooting as soon as you see a person on the door. The player starts getting tired gives more of a original/realistic feel to the game, as it needs some time to get a breath, as tough the difficulty you are playing with you need to as a player focus on wind as well as when taking shots. The X-Ray kill shots are the best in the game.

As you play and get experience points it allows us to unlock the specific skills which can be used as well. Every 5th level the player achieves we unlock as skill slot, and every level provides money, which can be used to buy new weapons or accessories and tools.

Sniper Elite 4 audio is pretty much informative and lets you know when we are in trouble, as if someone from infantry saw us – it gives a specific warning tone, which alerts us as a player. The game has a huge map which is fun to explore and before starting a mission we take objectives from all the NPC’s that are helping us which provides more of the experience points for the player to level up faster.

The game in short is one of the most fun games I played this year, doing random things. Graphically the game looks stunning.

I would definitely like to give Sniper Elite 4 8.5 stars for being different than just the regular shooter games.
