50 skill-based challenges put players to the test
Liverpool, United Kingdom – Ripstone Games, in collaboration with World Snooker and Lab42, are bringing a brand new experience to Snooker 19 today, with the release of Challenge Pack DLC for Nintendo Switch. The DLC is available to purchase for $7.99 / £6.49 / €7.99.
The Challenge Pack DLC invites everyone to take their best shot and become a better player in a brand new game mode for Snooker 19, adding hours of additional gameplay opportunities. Featuring 50 unique challenges to test skills across positioning, break building, escapes, trick-shot potting puzzles and more, this is the ultimate challenge for any snooker fan.
Challenges are split across two classes; Basic Skills and Advanced Skills, and can be played using a selection of different Aiming Aid difficulties to cater for varying levels of player ability. Master every event and complete all challenge requirements to unlock 26 stylish snooker cue rewards that are exclusive to the DLC pack. Players can choose from this selection of bespoke cues for use in online matches and tournaments, to demonstrate that they are a master of the sport.
As the official World Snooker video game, Snooker 19 features 128 of the world’s top snooker players including Ronnie O’Sullivan, Judd Trump, and Ding Junhui as they take to the table at iconic venues across the world. The Challenge Pack DLC adds further depth to this experience with a focus on providing training tools to assist players of Snooker 19 to improve their play-style, whilst at the same time adding new skills to their repertoire. The recent addition of a Practice Table, coupled with the Basic and Advanced Skill challenges, creates a solid foundation for any player looking to improve their game.
“Since the launch of Snooker 19 earlier this year we have been blown away by the support of the snooker community,” said Hollie Pattison of Ripstone.
“Their desire to continue improving their skillset within the game has inspired us to keep finding new ways to deliver on our promise of making the ultimate snooker simulation, and the release of the Challenge Pack takes this one step further. Everyone loves a trick shot and as big snooker fans ourselves, we can’t wait to share the challenge with our players.”
Leveraging the visual feature set of Unreal Engine 4, Snooker 19 sets a new visual standard for snooker video games. Lab42 have created a custom advanced physics engine, designed from the ground up to deliver the most true to life snooker experience to date.
