Message Based Interactive Story to be Released on iOS March 8, 2018 and Android April 26, 2018
Paris, France – February 22, 2018 – Independent development studio Norseman Interactive along with independent game publisher Playdius are pleased to announce that Somewhere: The Vault Papers will launch exclusively on iOS March 8, 2018 for $2.99/€3.49. The game will release shortly thereafter on Android as a freemium title for $2.99/€2.99 with in-app purchases to unlock the full story.
Somewhere: The Vault Papers is a real-time narrative game laced with a branching storyline and multiple endings. It tells the story of Cat, a journalist caught up in a thrilling whistleblowing case; she accidentally reaches you via text messages, urging you to help her investigate and to stay alive!
Inspired by classic novels such as 1984 or Brave New World, as well as other conspiracy filled affairs, the story plays out in real-time over the course of several days through realistic and immersive interactive fiction offering many possible outcomes. You receive notifications throughout your day as Cat sends you new messages. You will support her through a series of challenges and various situations by finding clues on the internet, facing random events and by guiding her using Google maps…but beware! Every choice will have consequences! Once you reach one of the possible endings, you’ll be able to jump back in time to see what happens when you make different choices.
To celebrate a successful Android beta test period engaging more than 70,000 players joining Cat in her early adventures since this past October, the Norseman Interactive team invites players to join an “Ask Me Anything” live Facebook stream on February 23rd on the official game page http://www.somewheregame.com
