Brand new footage of Sonic Forces and Sonic Mania revealed
Burbank, California — Earlier this week, Nintendo Direct showcased brand new footage for Sonic Forces and Sonic Mania, offering a fresh look at what’s in store for both upcoming Sonic games. The Sonic Forces portion of the Nintendo Direct highlighted Modern Sonic gameplay, revealed the very first look at Classic Sonic gameplay, and teased of something else to come. Stay tuned as SEGA will reveal more from Sonic Forces soon. Along with the sneak peek into Sonic Forces, new footage from Sonic Mania was included in the Nintendo Direct spot. The footage included Sonic and Tails running in Green Hill Zone, Tails cycling through a turbine in the recently revealed Flying Battery Zone, and Knuckles platforming through the brightly lit Studiopolis.
The Nintendo Direct footage can be found here (20:57 mark). Sonic Mania will be available this Summer and Sonic Forces will be available this Holiday. Both games will be available for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The Collector’s Edition of Sonic Mania is currently available for pre-order here.
