MADRID – Sony Interactive Entertainment Spain is excited to announce the Q4 line-up of PlayStation Talents, an initiative with which Sony is helping to grow and shape the Spanish indie scene. Launched in 2015, the PlayStation Talents program aims to unify all the initiatives put together by the local Spanish branch in order to develop the Spanish local games industry. The goal of the PlayStation Talents program is to support the local industry, as well as to create video games fully developed in Spain to be sold around the globe, with a wide array of initiatives: from educational projects (PlayStation® Future Talents and PlayStation® First) to business incubators (PlayStation Games Camp in Madrid, Sevilla, Bilbao, Valencia, Málaga, and Las Palmas de Gran Canaria), alliances with well-established local studios to export their games overseas, and the PlayStation Awards for the best independent games of the year. Games such as Dogchild or Invizimals, to name just two, were part of these initiatives by PlayStation Spain.
PlayStation Talents will close its 2018 season with the launch of several games developed in their PlayStation Games Camps. Intruders: Hide and Seek, Melbits World, and Anyone’s Diary will be released on PS4 within the next months.
MELBITS WORLD – PLAYLINK
Release date: November 14
Have you ever heard of the Melbits? They are tiny, adorable creatures who live on the Internet – they are the good part of the net, while the viruses are the bad one. Now they need your help: you have to guide them and their family to safety! Use your smartphones and your PS4 to guide a group Melbits to the next stage by using coordination and rhythm. The game uses PlayLink technology so everyone in the room can play with their phone or tablet. Every level will surprise you with new challenges and interactions! Besides that, players can use the Melbits stored in their Melbits user account to play with them in the game… ;
Melbits World offers unique cooperative gameplay that blends physical and digital play allowing the whole family to play together. You can also breed them with the app Melbit Maker (coming soon to Google Play and the App Store) and play the game with your very own Melbits! Melbits World won the Best Game of the Year award in the 2017 PlayStation Talents Awards.
INTRUDERS: HIDE AND SEEK – PLAYSTATION VR
