Sony is focusing on the Brazilian market for its PS3 and announced today that for the first time it will be building PlayStation 3s locally in Manaus.
This move will bring a projected $300 million into the local economy and will drive great price reductions in the region.
In addition, Brazilian players can expect more game release support, with news that The Last of Us will have a localized version available simultaneous with the worldwide launch. Also, Grand Theft Auto V will be the first game in the series to include Brazilian Portuguese localization.
