Milestone for Award-Winning Game Coincides with New Halloween-Themed Content
SpongeBob: Krusty Cook-Off, the award-winning mobile game that puts fans behind the Krusty Krab grill to serve the characters of the beloved animated series, has surpassed 50 million downloads. Developed by leading free-to-play games publisher, Tilting Point, this milestone arrives in time for the latest content for the regularly updated game: a new restaurant and spooky Halloween surprises.
Halloween is back in Bikini Bottom with an all-new event. For those hungry for some Halloween humor and sweet treats, the new Halloween event lets players earn Spooky Cookies and rack up delicious rewards like gems, Halloween costumes and more. In addition, SpongeBob’s culinary collection of kitchens continues to expand with Chef Glovey’s Restaurant, a home of wonderful waffles and delicious dishes in the theme-park, Glove World. Players can get a taste of the new restaurant in the limited-time event Chef Glovey’s Food Truck.
In SpongeBob: Krusty Cook-Off, players cook delicious nautical meals as they interact with many familiar faces such as Mr. Krabs, Patrick, Squidward, Sandy and more. Players can visit famous SpongeBob landmarks like the Krusty Krab and Sandy’s Treedome as they collect and customize outfits for their favorite characters, design and upgrade their own versions of Bikini Bottom’s restaurants across over 400 story levels.
SpongeBob: Krusty Cook-Off saw immediate success with the strongest pre-registration performance of any Nickelodeon game ever, with more than 17 million pre-registered players. At launch, it was one of the top 10 most downloaded games on iOS in 97 countries, and 79 countries on Google Play — reaching the top 100 grossing in 66 countries on iOS and eight countries on Google Play. In its first week alone, SpongeBob: Krusty Cook-Off reached over 2.2 million daily active users. The game was the recipient of the Players’ Choice award at the 2021 Mobile Games Awards.
