Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order (November 15) is a galaxy-spanning adventure featuring Cal Kestis, a young Jedi on the run and on a quest to save and rebuild the Jedi Order with his trusty companions and his charming droid BD-1. Today, EA and Respawn released a new video that looks into the design of BD-1, Cal’s incredibly useful and adorable droid companion.
From influences of Luke carrying Yoda in the films to designing the interactions with Cal, the new video provides a behind-the-scenes look at how the artists, animators and sound designers at Respawn brought Cal’s companion to life.
BD-1 is the ultimate companion droid designed to assist in operations in remote or dangerous locations across the galaxy. He was programmed to be the ideal assistant to a researcher or explorer operating alone in the field with its ability to traverse all types of terrain.
You can pre-order Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. The game releases November 15, 2019.
