The latest real-time strategy game from publisher Com2uS is now on track to launch in 2021
Summoners War: Lost Centuria, the latest game in the Summoners War IP expansion from Com2uS, wrapped its first closed beta test (CBT) on Nov. 30 to an extremely positive reception from testers. Lost Centuria fuses the expansive universe of Summoners War: Sky Arena with real-time strategy (RTS) gameplay to create an entirely new experience for the beloved franchise.
Lost Centuria‘s CBT began in late-November and saw massive global engagement from Asia, North America and Europe. Players touted the mobile game’s PvP gameplay which presented engaging RTS scenarios and battles. Staples of the Summoners War universe, such as Runes and monsters, combined with Lost Centuria‘s combat system of Counters and Summoner Spells, provided unique combat experiences for testers.
SeanB, one of the largest Summoners War influencers, commented,
“Character animation/movement is very fluid. Counter-attack feels very rewarding.”
Positive CBT feedback such as this reassured Com2uS that the game’s development is moving in the right direction and the game is expected to launch in 2021.
“Summoners War: Lost Centuria concluded its first CBT with overwhelmingly positive reception, validating the flexibility and vitality of this franchise,” said President of GAMEVIL Com2uS, Kyu Lee. “The Summoners War IP remains a staple of mobile gaming that we are continuing to expand into new mediums alongside maintaining a fiercely competitive esports battlefield that just set the record for our most viewed Summoners War World Arena Championship of all time in November.”
Lost Centuria arms players with a custom deck of cards then pits them against competitors in strategic battles centering on summoning eight monsters each that are worth varying amounts of Mana. Cards have varying costs, but these don’t necessarily portray a Monster’s usefulness in battle. Regardless of Mana cost, all cards can have a tenacious impact when they are used with efficient strategy. It’s up to players to build a balanced deck and decide in the moment how to conquer their opponents.
