Los Angeles, California – Mobile games company Com2uS today announced its flagship title, Summoners War, has surpassed 100 million downloads worldwide. In anticipation of the milestone, the company partnered with Skybound North to produce a short animated film using the Summoners War Intellectual property (IP) and will premiere it this coming weekend in Hollywood on February 9, 2019, followed by a February 11, 2019 online debut on YouTube.
Summoners War, which launched in 2014, has achieved global success by reaching 100 million downloads this year. The popular mobile title has also reached the top spot in 74 countries on Apple’s App Store, and in 20 countries on the Google Play Store since launch.
Starting today, Summoners War will hold various in-game events to raise awareness for the animated short film, set to premiere online on YouTube (@summonerswarapp) on Monday, February 11.
Once the short debuts online, players will be able earn in-game items and rewards by watching the short through the custom in-game events banner.
This Saturday, February 9, Com2uS will hold a private showing of the film at Raleigh Studios Hollywood in Los Angeles, with producers, influencers, local fans and local media attending. The Summoners War short film will be shown alongside a Q&A with the producers. The film offers an extended look at the game’s world and story, which has attracted the attention of many global fans.
Summoners War is available for mobile via the App Store and Google Play.
