Developer Veewo has announced that 2D platformer Super Phantom Cat will be releasing on iOS devices next Monday, January 25, 2016.
Super Phantom Cat pays homage to Super Mario Bros., Donkey Kong Country, and Sonic The Hedgehog. This time, you don’t collect coins, bananas or gold rings . . . but data — which in turn allows Chemist White (the game’s protagonist) to change into a number of characters and eventually become the all-powerful Super Phantom Cat.
The Super Phantom Cat World:
The world of Super Phantom Cat is filled with challenges that will make any platforming fan jump for joy. You’ll need quick reflexes as you pull off incredible feats such as bouncing on a monster’s head to land on a difficult-to-reach platform — or rapidly jumping between small platforms to get across a massive chasm. You will need to be inch-perfect if you want to make it to the end.
Lucky for you, Sprites have also been scattered across the Phantom World — giving you access to special super powers: Smash through layers of bricks using the Smash Sprite; shoot monsters in the face with Bullet Sprite; teleport through walls with the Teleport Sprite; and many more. Every Sprite plays a critical role in helping you make it to the end of each level safely. Who knows, you might even bust open the right block and discover a secret passage that hides a rare star.
Super Phantom Cat Key Features:
- A modern twist on retro platformers with a quirky plot
- Clean, colorful art and whimsical character design
- Awesome chiptune soundtrack
- Hardcore platforming gameplay perfectly tuned for touchscreens
- Fully customizable controls
- Bonus levels for even more challenge and depth
- Endearing unlockable characters ranging from a cute chicken to a menacing vampire (and everything in between)
