Directive 8020 Key Features:

Alien Invasion:

An alien creature that can change into any member of the crew has infested the colony ship Cassiopeia. Killers can lurk behind familiar eyes, and even though you are human, the rest of your team might not be. To help players avoid these dangerous attackers, new stealth elements have been implemented. You will need to sneak and conceal to get past these deadly alien stalkers, and you must always be alert because opponents can appear out of nowhere.

Brave Recruits:

Introducing the crew of the Cassiopeia. Throughout the mission, you will be in charge of five crew members, but mistrust grows along with paranoia and fear. Your choices, with their lives in your hands, will affect not just the crew’s destiny but also that of all of humanity.

New Mechanics:

A number of new tools are introduced under Directive 8020. You can utilize these to find secrets, work out riddles, and defeat opponents throughout the game. Since the goal of the mission is survival, each gadget serves a specific function in assisting you in staying alive and thinking quickly.

  • The Flashlight – You’ll spend a lot of time sneaking around in the dark, as is typical of our games! Aliens can detect the beam from your flashlight, so use caution when using it.
  • The Scanner – With a scanner at your disposal, you may identify electronics and remotely activate devices, which can help you get past hurdles and divert adversaries.
  • The Messenger – You can stay under the radar while coordinating and communicating with your fellow crew members thanks to your messenger.
  • The Wedge Tool – Designed to open doors… However, as a last option, it can also be used as a weapon to momentarily stun adversaries, allowing you to get away and avoid being killed.

The Dark Pictures:

The DNA of the Dark Pictures is still there, which is good news for fans of Supermassive Games’ earlier releases. In fact, everything you love about the Dark Pictures is still there, including branching plotlines, impossible decisions, and split-second QTEs. Furthermore, the gameplay has been refined, enhanced, and revamped to present a greater threat when exploring the surroundings.

Directive 8020 will launch October 2, 2025, with pre-orders available starting in June 2025.

You can wishlist the game right now on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
