The SWAPMEAT Founder’s Edition, which offers exclusive goodies prior to the game’s official release, will be given to players who buy the game during Early Access. One game key, three in-game cosmetics (a Golden Spatula, Carl’s Golden Antenna Bobber, and the Alt-Comedian Mask Head), access to the “SWAPMEAT: Rare & Questionable Cuts” musical companion, and the opportunity to see an upcoming solar system before its official release are all included in the Founder’s Edition. Ten absurd songs drawn from the twisted universe of SWAPMEAT are included in the “Rare & Questionable Cuts” concept album, which is also available for $9.99 on Steam.

Jamie Stormbreaker, Founder and Game Director at One More Game stated, “We can’t wait for even more players to get their hands on SWAPMEAT and have fun,. Our meat-swapping mechanic is precisely what makes the game stand out as a one of a kind roguelite co-op third person shooter. This is just the foundation, as we’ll continue to experiment with new content and engage with our global community throughout Early Access to refine, balance, and polish as we work toward a full release.”

Early Access is the next phase of One More Game’s Alpha-Driven Development process for SWAPMEAT and is the result of feedback from thousands of players worldwide throughout two years of ‘Meat Lab’ playtests. Through early and frequent playtesting, real-time player input listening, and iteration, One More Game has been able to work with the SWAPMEAT community to improve and enhance the game. Now that the player population has grown, Early Access gives the creators the opportunity to continue collecting feedback at scale, measuring balance, stress testing systems, and eventually locking down the game’s whole vision—which is influenced in part by user participation and input.

Stormbreaker commented, “Building SWAPMEAT through our Alpha-Driven Development approach has truly created a better game experience as we work closely with our community to listen and address their feedbackWe are grateful for their support, as that collaboration is at the core of how we make games. SWAPMEAT reflects our vision and our community’s feedback, which has helped shape every weapon, ability, and system that players will experience.

SWAPMEAT Key Features:

  • Swap on the Fly:Mid-fight, rip, swap, and mutate. Your approach is immediately altered by each leg and extremity you graft. Rapid adaptability is necessary for survival; it is not an option. More than 3,000 different meat combinations are available. Every component you graft instantaneously modifies your approach. Adaptation is necessary for survival; it is not an option. Equip your team with a Stellar Chef torso that provides barrier shields, an Octo Swirl head that shoots in all directions, or Squat Daddy legs that can leap and butt-slam adversaries.
  • Fast, Relentless Combat:  You work with what drops and learn to flourish in unpredictability while always being besieged by alien weirdos in SWAPMEAT, which forces improvisation in ways not yet seen in typical roguelites. The screwball enemies keep arriving in waves. As you race against time to finish missions and retrieve essential Meat Cores for Carl’s ongoing Smart MeatTM experiments, you dodge, shoot, and switch your way through an increasingly chaotic environment.
  • Built for Co-Op (1–4 Players): SWAPMEAT has something for everyone, whether you’re a solo or team player. Navigate the cosmos by yourself, or assemble your most courageous friends to confront the mayhem together. The game’s complexity dynamically scales, making it harder as players join and easier when they quit.
  • Roguelite Replayability:Every mission presents you with surprising part combinations, unpredictable events, and new opponents. A run is never the same twice. You learn something fresh from every death.
  • Permanent Upgrades Between Runs:Return to headquarters with your study and exchange it for new benefits, weapon unlocks, and enhancements authorized by the company.
  • Hostile Alien Worlds:Discover a succession of more bizarre environments, ranging from a planetary barbecue overtaken by hostile aliens to an urban raceway teeming with ravenous mutant speedsters. Fight through surreal, colorful landscapes littered with the remains of galactic commerce.

SWAPMEAT has a 4GB install capacity and supports controllers. At least 8GB of RAM and a graphics card with an AMD Radeon RX 580 or Nvidia GTX 1060 or above are recommended specifications. English, Spanish, and Brazilian Portuguese are the languages that the game now supports; more localization is planned to serve additional regions in the future. The game’s Steam page offers further details and specifications.

On Friday, October 24, at 3 p.m. PT, One More Game will host a special live development stream on Twitch to commemorate SWAPMEAT’s Early Access debut.
