Introduction/Information about game
The game Ten Dates officially releases today, on February 14th, 2023, which is just in time for Valentine’s day. This game, developed by Good Gate Media and Wales Interactive, as well as published by Wales Interactive, is an interactive romantic comedy movie where the player will have to help the main character of the story make choices as he goes on 10 different dates. Personally, I do not like romantic comedies. Nothing about the genre interests me, so I did not care much when playing this game. That being said, however, I don’t think this game is bad. I believe this game can be enjoyable for people who like and enjoy romantic comedies and interactive games.
Gameplay
The gameplay for Ten Dates is very simple and easy. All the player has to do is just choose what the main character will say and do. To do this, the player must select their choice and confirm it. That is it. It doesn’t get any simpler than that. The game will start the player out by having them choose different attributes about the main character of the story. They will have to choose what the main characters’ hobbies are, what they do for work, and what the main character enjoys doing for fun. Another way to look at it is the player has to set up an online dating profile for the main character. Once the player chooses everything they want, the story of the game starts.
The main idea of the story is that the main character (being controlled by the player), gets tricked into going to a speed dating event by their friend. The main character will then have to take part in the event that lasts for ten dates. When going on each date, the player will choose options for what the main character will say. The story for the characters and game is not bad. I found some of the characters to be more interesting than some others. Overall, however, I believe that this game is a good interactive movie game. It has a good story and good characters.
Final thoughts
Overall, the game Ten Dates is an enjoyable interactive movie game for those who enjoy romantic comedies. I believe that if I was someone who enjoyed romantic comedies, then I would most likely say that I really enjoyed playing this game. So, if you are the kind of person who enjoys the romantic comedy genre, as well as interactive games, then this would be the game for you.
