The Biggest Cybersport Games in Terms of Prize Money and Number of Views

Creators of the rankings noted that the chart takes into account statistics for all platforms except Chinese. In total, the authors have studied more than a hundred disciplines including Overwatch Vulkan. The ranking was based on viewing hours, but mobile disciplines were more popular than Valve games in terms of peak audience figures. 

First place went to League of Legends, which garnered 644 million hours of viewing, and at its peak, Riot Games’ streaming games were watched by up to 4 million viewers at once. Next in line was  

  • CS:GO; 
  • Mobile Legends: Bang Bang; 
  • Dota 2; 
  • PUBG Mobile.

The final five leaders are Starcraft II, in which the best players can earn up to several hundred thousand dollars over a few years of professional career. 

PUBG and PUBG Mobile 

PUBG has one of the most international scenes in cybersport in terms of top teams. any major region can field the best team in the world on a good day, which isn’t something you take for granted when you remember South Korea’s long domination of League of Legends or StarCraft, for example. Last year’s prize money was around €14m and €12.7m respectively.
