The Crew returns, a racing game series by publisher Ubisoft and developer Ivory Tower. The Crew Motorfest is the third game in the series and comes out with an amazing amount of gameplay changes.
The Crew Motorfest starts off very similar to some of the previous Ubisoft sports titles, especially like Riders Republic. The game introduces all the different racing genres. Compared to the previous titles, though the world is shrunk down, there is a lot to experience in this world, something similar to the Forza Horizon series.
The whole map is amazing and a great way to explore the scenic views in the free roam mode. The control and handling has definitely improved and provides some great improvements from the previous games in series. The Crew Motorfest, though is a multiplayer game, it provides tons of Solo events, and allows you to grow in the different racing types. From off-roading and arcade styles racing to simulation type professional events, players get to explore all kinds of experiences, but let’s not forget the motorbikes, boats and planes.
The graphics standout as the game is on next gen console, and we experienced the game on PS5, it was an amazing experience, with colorful scenic graphics. And some amazing soundtracks.
Players can also choose from different playlist events that opt you in for a loaner vehicle the first time and the second time you play those events you can choose your own vehicle. On top of the playlist there are 28 players Mass Races, something similar to what the Riders Republic had, where you race through a course which asks you to switch between different styles of racing, which is a great experience in itself.
Overall, though the free roam mode feels too much similar to the Forza Horizon style gameplay and setup, and there are sometimes too many things to do, The Crew Motorfest seems to be the best entry in the series with a lot of improvements and provide some great racing experiences. I would rate The Crew Motorfest as 8 out of 10 stars.
