A wide range of games that will be available for the Nintendo Switch system in 2024 and beyond were showcased in the most recent Nintendo Direct presentation. These games included The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom and a first look at Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, in addition to new details about games from Nintendo’s publishing and development partners.
First looks at Samus Aran’s newest assignment were given in the trailer for Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, which will release on the Nintendo Switch in 2025.On September 26, 2024, The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom—which has just been revealed—will launch on the Nintendo Switch, allowing users to assume the role of Zelda, the noble princess of Hyrule. At launch, a Nintendo Switch Lite that draws inspiration from the Legend of Zelda franchise will also be accessible.
The new RPG adventure game Mario & Luigi: Brothership, which stars the Mario Bros. and takes place at sea, was also revealed by Nintendo. Other titles in the series include Super Mario Party Jamboree, which invites players to join Mario and friends for the biggest Mario Party yet on a massive island resort, and Donkey Kong Country Returns HD, which features HD graphics and extra levels from the Nintendo 3DS version and launches on January 16, 2025.
Numerous titles from Nintendo’s international publishing and development partners were also highlighted. These titles include MARVEL vs. CAPCOM Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics, which launches this year and pits superhero-sized duels across seven classic arcade games; LEGO HORIZON ADVENTURES, an action-packed romp featuring machine-hunter Aloy and friends set in the world of Horizon and faithfully recreated in LEGO bricks; and Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake, an epic fantasy adventure that expands and enhances the original RPG classic and launches on November 14, 2024.

- The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom: A brand-new tale in the Legend of Zelda series puts the onus of saving the land of Hyrule on Zelda and her common sense. Strange rifts have appeared, stealing the inhabitants of Hyrule away; among the missing is a specific swordsman. Join forces with the enigmatic fairy Tri and harness the Tri Rod’s power to produce echoes, which are emulations of objects discovered in the surrounding area. - On September 26th, a gold-colored Nintendo Switch Lite Hyrule Edition system inspired by the Legend of Zelda franchise and emblazoned with the Hylian Crest will also be available. With the bundled 12-month individual Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership, players can access a variety of classic Legend of Zelda titles from the NES, Super NES, Game Boy, Nintendo 64, and Game Boy Advance.
- Mario & Luigi: Brothership: Join Mario and Luigi on an island-hopping role-playing game! Returning for a brand-new chapter in the Mario & Luigi franchise, the brothers set out to explore the enormous globe of Concordia on Shipshape Island, which is a hybrid of a ship and an island. Explore islands with everything from busy towns to exotic rainforests while playing as the mustachioed couple. Make new pals to accompany you on your adventure and run into well-known characters from the Mushroom Kingdom, including as Peach and Bowser, along the way. Attacks in a dynamic take on turn-based battle to declare victory. Nov. 7 is when Mario & Luigi: Brotherhood debuts on the Nintendo Switch.
- DRAGON QUEST III HD-2D Remake: With colorful HD-2D visuals and an enhanced narrative, this version of the classic RPG immerses you in the chronological beginning of the Erdrick Trilogy scenario! As The Hero, set off on an amazing fantasy journey to save the planet from the terrible forces of the evil Archfiend, Baramos. Explore a huge globe consisting of cities, dungeons, and caverns, get to know a colorful cast of characters, and engage in fierce turn-based combat with monsters.Nov. 14 marks the release of Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake on the Nintendo Switch.

Additionally, two boards from earlier Mario Party games are returning! There are also more than 110 minigames to play, which is the most in the Mario Party series to date. Take on challenging tasks full of action, brainteasers, and minigames using motion controls. Not only that, but the Koopathlon mode allows for online** head-to-head competition between up to 20 players. Do all in your power to win! When Super Mario Party Jamboree arrives on the Nintendo Switch on October 17, the greatest Mario Party yet will soon begin.
- Donkey Kong Country Returns HD: The Wii edition of Donkey Kong Country Returns, which debuted in high definition, features a return visit from Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong for some heart-pounding action. Donkey Kong’s valuable stash of bananas has been pilfered by the evil Tiki Tak Tribe, and the Kongs are racing to find them! Enjoy an action-packed journey full of mayhem where you can trample obstacles, send mine carts hurtling, soar high on rocket barrels, and even hitch a ride on Rambi the rhino. You can play solo or in local two-player co-op with a friend. On January 16, 2025, Donkey Kong Country Returns HD will release for the Nintendo Switch. It features 80 jaw-dropping levels, including the extra ones from the Nintendo 3DS version.
