Tokyo Game Show 2024: Netmarble Unveils Newest Entry THE KING OF FIGHTERS AFK

Leading by Young-sig Kwon and Byung Gyu Kim, Netmarble is a well-known publisher and producer of top-notch mobile games. The company just revealed their newest entry, which is based on the “The King of Fighters” IP, at TOKYO GAME SHOW 2024.

A teaser trailer for Netmarble’s upcoming game, THE KING OF FIGHTERS AFK, was unveiled at the SNK booth during TOKYO GAME SHOW 2024, which takes place from September 26 to 29.

THE KING OF THE FIGHTERS AFK Based on SNK’s “The King of Fighters” IP, is a collectible AFK role-playing game that is presently being development by Netmarble Neo, a developer with a wealth of expertise working with SNK.

Known for their pixel art graphics, players will recognize these classic characters from “The King of Fighters” series from THE KING OF FIGHTERS R-2 on Neo Geo Pocket Color, a game that was developed based on THE KING OF FIGHTERS ’98. The game’s distinctive combat system will set THE KING OF FIGHTERS AFK apart from previous King of Fighters series and increase the excitement of strategic play and character development. Furthermore, THE KING OF FIGHTERS AFK gathers together important characters from “The King of Fighters” series to maximize the fun of collecting characters.

With 15 numbered titles published to date, “The King of Fighters” is a renowned fighting game series that spearheaded the fighting game boom in the 1990s. Fans all across the world have been ardent supporters of “The King of Fighters” series and its characters for decades, even though the series’ plots and systems have changed over time.
